-----------------------------------------------
For those of you who are tired of watching people bring 20-50 or more clones
into a channel at once, this will help things out. For reasons which will be
obvious when you think about it (it will divide the period you set rather
irregularly) it can only be run on one bot per channel at a time, but this
script will automatically keep the channel limit set to an acceptable level
above the maximum number, and will only change it on an interval you specify.
It will *not* mode flood, or re-set the same channel limit over and over
again, and you can even specify a grace value, so that if the actual limit
is sufficiently close to the ideal limit, the bot won't bother changing it
(after all, people will still be able to get in, unless you set a really
absure grace value).
For people who are baffled easily, I suggest NEVER using a grace value that is
more than 1/4 of the ceiling value. And if you don't have oddles of free time
on your hands to do metrics, just set the period at sometime between three and
ten minutes. (Ten for a really slow channel!)
Anyway, good luck. 2.0 will be able to put the botnet to use so that even if
bots get split up, they'll still know that they should change the limit, and
consequently, will behave properly when they're all on the same net. :)
